Roland DG DTF Film is designed specifically for use with compatible Roland DG Direct-to-Film printers, providing a dedicated transfer film solution for Roland's DTF workflow.
Roland DG DTF Film is available in different media widths for compatible Roland DTF printers:
760mm media – suitable for the TY Series, including the TY-300i
510mm media – suitable for the TY Series, as well as the BN and BY Series
Always select the appropriate film width and media for your Roland DG printer model.
The Direct-to-Film (DTF) process involves:
Print – Print your design onto the DTF transfer film.
Apply Powder – Coat the printed film with thermo-adhesive hot melt powder.
Transfer – Apply the finished DTF transfer to the chosen substrate using a heat press.
DTF transfers produced using Roland DG DTF printers can be applied to a wide range of fabrics, including polyester, and can be used for decorating a variety of garment colours including blue, green, red and yellow.
For the BN-20D and BY-20, use S-PG2 inks with S-F164 transfer film as part of Roland DG's Direct-to-Film workflow.
When working with DTF products and hot melt powder:
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including an N95 mask, safety goggles and gloves.
Apply hot melt powder at least 5 metres away from your printer to help avoid potential powder entering the machine.
Follow appropriate ventilation and workplace safety procedures when printing and curing DTF transfers.
