Epson UltraChrome DG2 Ink for SureColor F2260

This ink is designed for Direct-to-Garment (DTG) and Direct-to-Film (DTFilm/DTF) production with the Epson SC-F2260. It features an enhanced formulation designed to provide improved colour and definition with less bleed across a wider range of media. It ships in convenient 800ml pouches that are easy to agitate, quick and mess-free to load.

DTG Applications

When the printer is used in DTG mode, the ink adheres best to fabrics with a moderate-to-loose weave and 50% or more natural content. Dark garments should be pre-treated. Under certain circumstances, there may also be benefit in pre-treating light-coloured garments.

DTF Applications

For fabrics with 50% or more man-made material, a fine weave, extremely smooth finish, or water- or dirt-repellent treatment, it is recommended that a DTF workflow be employed.

Results will vary depending on the fabric, production process, film and powder combination. Before working with a new fabric or changing any of these variables, it is recommended that operators undertake test prints and perform wash-durability testing before commencing production.

Epson DG2 Ink

Epson DG2 ink features a Diethylene Glycol-free formulation designed to provide a safer working environment for operators. When affixed to fabric, garments meet the requirements of the Oeko-Tex Eco Passport standard for safe use by adults, children and babies up to 36 months.

Ink should be installed before the date printed on the package and consumed within a year. White ink pouches should be periodically agitated, as the contents have a tendency to settle.

Printer Maintenance

Epson DTG printers incorporate continuous self-cleaning and ink recirculation functions. If the printer is not expected to be used for more than a week, Epson recommends leaving the equipment switched on. If the printer is to be moved or is not expected to be used for several weeks, the extended shutdown process should be performed. Always refer to the printer's user guide and check Epson's online resources for the latest maintenance information.

Maintenance liquid is used by the printer to ensure print heads and capping systems are kept clean and free of fabric lint. Liquid is loaded into the Ink Supply System concurrently with ink.

Cleaning Liquid is required if your printer needs to be transported or shut down for extended periods. It may also be required if the printheads become clogged or the ink lines need flushing.
