Image Armor Platinum Pretreatment for Mid-Dark to Black Garments
NEW & Improved Image Armor Platinum Pretreatment is available as Concentrate or Ready To Use (RTU) and is designed for mid-dark colours through to black garments.
New Platinum Concentration
Image Armor changed the concentration of the PLATINUM formula in February/March 2024.
The new concentration requires:
1 part Image Armor Platinum Concentrate + 2 parts distilled water
This means:
- 1 Litre Concentrate → 3 Litres of Pretreatment
- 5 Litres Concentrate → 15 Litres of Pretreatment
Ready To Use (RTU)
The RTU version is ready to use and does not require dilution.

The all-new Platinum formula allows you to apply less pretreatment than other solutions currently available while still achieving the same, or better, results.

Recommended Garment Colours
Image Armor Platinum Formula is best suited for mid-dark shirts through to black garments, including colours such as:
- Black
- Navy
- Other mid-dark colours
It can also be used on lighter colours such as:
- Heather
- Grey Marle
- Baby Blue
However, these lighter colours should be treated with caution.
Testing is always recommended, as lighter and mid-coloured shirts can contain chemicals and residuals that may react with pretreatment and result in discolouration. This can occur with nearly all pretreatment products, regardless of brand.
For light-coloured and white shirts, please use the Image Armor Light Shirt Formula.
Always test prior to running any production.
